When a tooth has been missing for a number of years, or a tooth was removed traumatically, there may be a lack of enough bone to place a dental implant. We can now add and grow bone using bone substitutes and a variety of techniques. We also believe in always keeping the option of dental implants available in the future, so we often place bone materials when a tooth is removed to help maintain the space.
