If your child does need a filling, we aim to make the process as stress-free and fun as possible. Often we need to put the child’s tooth off to sleep, which can be done painlessly. We have formulated many techniques to fill children’s teeth over years of practice which we find work extremely well.

Sometimes decay can infect the tooth’s nerve which may be very painful for the child. In these cases we may need to do a pulpotomy which involves removing some of the infected nerve and placing a calming medication in the tooth to relieve the pain. This allows the tooth to stay in the mouth until the permanent tooth underneath has developed enough to replace it.
